I feel like the idea of who is writing the history that the writers seem to pride themselves on for comprehending the different point of view would have paid off rather than just be a creative licence to do whatever they wanted.

Because Alyn, the Lord of Driftmark probably has something to do with how his mother is talked about and how much credit is given to the Laenor being their father theory.

But changing his and Addam's birth order and age for no reason other than not wanting to address the Addam and Jace conflict isn't that.

Saying stay tuned for the Rhaena and Nettles merge even though they are probably the only two characters who never meet and saying we can look to the histories is wrong.

As a writer, you have a creative licence to do whatever, but the constant hammering of this is how history will remember you, instead of it just being the story you want to write based off the framing of your show will not end well.

There is no way Rhaena hated the Vale, was sent away with Aegon and Viserys, ran away for a few days, and found a wild dragon while she was missing and history chose to make up Nettles.

At this point, saying it's a show adaptation to tie into show lore would make the most sense. But that's not even what happens at this point, until the very last episode.

All of this to say, I just wish we'd give the book true telling narrative a rest. Just say it's a tie into Game of Thrones and spare us the half-baked theories in between the two year wait that won't have pay off.

Say what you want about Tumblr's latest changes, but I think currently the support for artists big and small is one of Tumblr's strongest features. Showing featured art on Desktop at the side, @/art as a whole featuring artists and reblogging art with few notes, the badge that displays whether or not your commissions are open. I think it's nice! I mean, I'm really biased when I say this as Tumblr Blog DonutDRAWSthings... but especially now that it's so hard to find good art sites and with art getting massively overshadowed on various platforms, I really appreciate Tumblr is making an effort to bring artists into the spotlight.

Especially the way this drama represented the human relationships and how they effect us.
